If there is one monument you should not miss during your stay in the Manche, it is the Mont Saint-Michel! Located about 45 minutes by car from Villedieu-les-Poêles, it is easy to get there for the day, half a day or a few hours.

How do I get there from the town?
- By car via the A84
- By bus from Villedieu-les-Poêles by taking the n°6 bus towards Avranches, then change buses at the Place Littré or Gare SNCF stop to take the n°8 bus towards Mont Saint-Michel. Alternatively, if the timetable does not match, you can take the train to Granville and then take bus number 8 to the Mont.
- With the "Train du Mont Saint-Michel" which links Paris to Mont Saint-Michel via Villedieu-les-Poêles. The Villedieu-les-Poêles - Mont Saint-Michel journey can be made by SNCF shuttle bus according to the timetable indicated by the railway company.

And once there?
Once you arrive in Beauvoir, there are three ways to get to the Mont:
- Take the free shuttle buses which run every 7 minutes
- Take a horse-drawn carriage ride to and from the site (around 6€)
- Walk to the foot of the mountain (about 45 minutes)

Note that cars must park in the car park at the end of the footbridge. Access to the Mont is free of charge, but be sure not to forget your mask.

Don't miss the Abbey!
Located at the top of the Mont, the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel can be visited all year round. However, it is recommended that you book your tickets and time slot in advance online or directly at the Tourist Office. This summer, visit this unique monument in a different way thanks to the nightly sound and light show "Les Chroniques du Mont".

And the tides?
Now, thanks to the footbridge, you are no longer constrained by the tides. The only exception is during high tides, when part of the footbridge is submerged. This is also an exceptional moment, when the Mont regains its island character!
