From Monaco to Lyon, via Amsterdam and Basel, Mathilde Mugot is enriched by numerous encounters, both musical and human. A graduate of the CNSMD in Lyon and the Schola Cantorum in Basel, she began her musical studies at the Académie de Musique de Monaco in the harpsichord and cello classes. She perfected her harpsichord, basso continuo and improvisation skills, as well as her Baroque cello, at the CRR de Lyon. Since 2011, she has performed on both cello and harpsichord under the direction of Rheinard Goebel, Paul Agnew, François-Xavier Roth, Amandine Beyer and Angélique Mauillon, among others. She enjoys sharing the stage with her friends in the Orchestre National de Lyon, or playing sonatas with violinist André Lislevand. Since 2018, she has been head singer and bass continuo teacher at the CRR de Nice.
Her first recording, based on a Parisian music salon in 17th-century France, will be released in 2024 on the Seulétoile label. Mathilde Mugot is a prizewinner at the Fondation Royaumont and the Académie Musicale de Villecroze.
